It's All Coming Together ~

After these bits and pieces were living together in a ziploc bag,

all crowded and pushed in,  no room for the last cuts,

they got to stretch out on the cutting board today...

 ...and here are the first parts sewn into triangles.
Oh, it's coming together so nice!!

And look what I'll get to play with next ~ from Christmas ~

Mug Parade on Easy Street 4 ~

 This was a productive weekend.

We have all these Christmas mugs done,

 Larry's work- I love it!

~ Lydia's Hello Kitty is sure a cute one ~

 Jerry's had some fun too; kinda mosaic lookin'

-and only 1 finished mug rug this week-!

 ~~~and,  I've completed Easy Street part 4 Woo-Hoo!!
Paper piecing is my way for accuracy. I used my Triangulations CD.
There are 4 more days of school before the Christmas break. Happy!
Oh! Let me share the recipe I've been makin' and takin' these last few weeks, and I've shared the recipe every time. Yum ~
Cranberry Sour Cream Coffee Cake
cream together with blender:
 -1 stick butter    -1 cup sugar
 -2 large eggs    -1 t. almond extract
in another bowl, stir together:
- 2 cups flour        -1 t. baking powder
-1 t.salt            -1 t. baking soda
add to creamed mixture alternately with:
 - 1 cup sour cream
Spoon into a 9 by 13 inch greased baking pan.
Open
-1 can of whole berry cranberry sauce
and stir
a bit to break it up. Drop about 9 spoonfuls onto
the batter, and then slightly cover over the sauce with
the batter...really, the batter kinda goes over the
berries by itself while baking.
Bake at 350 for 40 minutes. Cool.
Drizzle with a thick glaze made from:
-1 T. melted butter    -1 cup powdered sugar
-1 t. almond extract      -1 T. hot water
Merry Christmas 2012!
"And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men." Luke 2:13,14
This Week's Easy Street ~
These are my part 3 squares for Bonnie Hunter's Easy Street mystery. I had fun just dreaming up ways to lay this block out!
Yes, I completed the required amount, plus some :-}
 This is a mug rug for my friend Pauline. It's a stocking stuffer gift for tomorrow morning's staff breakfast at 7 a.m.
This one is for my friend, and boss ~
Can you believe, these mugs are in my oven for an overnight baking? I got the idea from my super creative daughter, who directed me here:
Guess What I'm Doing ~
I have never joined in a "mystery quilt" before, but I do love Bonnie Hunter's idea of quilting. I've used and shared her Quiltville website, and always admired the many finishes shared there. So, here is week 2 of Easy Street Quilt Mystery, and yippee! I'm on track! I was pulled in by the colors and her promise of it not being too hard (but that is relative, lol)
Here is my quilt in a bag ~
Some of the 200+ 4 patches ~
Here are a few geese, in purples and dark blues ~
These teals and turquoise fat quarters were picked last night at the Sew and Sew in Glendora,
on our way to quilt class.  I had several pieces to pull from of the lime color, but I needed these :-}
The "bricks" are even ready!
Here's plans to stick to it!
Happy Quilting ~
